Drivenās Break-in oil is very high in ZDDP (typical 2800-3000 PPM ZDDP) but its also very low detergent. Detergent will counter the ability of the ZDDP to adhere and protect the needed part. This is because ZDDP and Detergent are both surface active - they compete for the same space. On a brand-new engine, you just want to have ZDDP to form anti-wear protection without the detergent cleaning it off per say.
